What we watch
Pricing & promos
Site-visible discounts, bundles, and offer language.
New products / SKUs
New modules, badges, and assortment shifts on storefronts.
Homepage messaging
Hero copy, CTAs, and positioning changes week to week.
Public Meta ads
New or heavily rotated creatives from the Ad Library.
The problem
You are focused on shipping product, managing ads, and supporting customers. Meanwhile a peer brand may:
- Launch a promotion you only notice mid-campaign
- Rewrite homepage messaging while you are still testing last month’s angle
- Run Meta creative you would have preferred to see on Monday morning
Checking Instagram when you remember is not a reliable process. Agency competitive-intelligence retainers are often slow, expensive, and written for presentations rather than weekly execution.
ShelfWatch Weekly has one job: keep a fixed watchlist of pet peers under consistent weekly observation so you can respond while the move still matters.
How it works
Choose your watchlist
Start with our pet starter list, or substitute peers that matter to your brand. We monitor storefronts, collections, product prices and promotions, homepage messaging, and Meta’s public Ad Library.
Run the same checklist every week
Light automation plus human review, in the same sequence and format each week, so week-over-week differences are comparable and verifiable.
Receive a short weekly report
What changed, what appears incidental, and what a peer marketer would watch next. Delivered by email and PDF. Designed to read in under ten minutes.

Who it is for
A strong fit
Founders, growth marketers, and operations leads at U.S. pet brands that sell online and already watch peers — and want that work systematized.
Not a fit
Non-pet categories, local retail outside the USA, agencies seeking white-label dashboards, or teams that need hourly alerts. ShelfWatch is intentionally weekly.
FAQ
Is this only for pet brands?
Yes. The niche is limited to pet so the checklist and commentary stay specific and useful.
Where does the data come from?
Public sources only: brand storefronts, collections, product pages, homepage messaging, and Meta’s public Ad Library. No private account access and no unverifiable scrapers.
How is this different from doing it myself?
You can do it yourself. Most teams do not do it consistently. We run the same checklist every week so differences accumulate into a usable history. You are buying the habit and the format, not a black box.
Will you invent insights or competitor moves?
No. If nothing material changed, we say so. Quiet weeks are reported as quiet weeks.
Can I swap brands on my watchlist?
Yes, within your plan’s brand limit. We accommodate reasonable changes and avoid thrashing the list every few days.
What is included in the free sample?
A one-time three-brand pet report using our starter method, so you can evaluate the format before paying. No card is required to request the sample.
Do you work with agencies or non-USA brands?
That is not the primary focus. We prioritize USA online pet DTC brands. If you are an agency buying on behalf of a pet client, tell us and we will confirm fit.
How do cancellations and refunds work?
Cancel anytime; access continues through the paid period. In the first 14 days, you receive a full refund if a report is late or clearly incomplete relative to the published checklist. Commentary disagreements are not refundable; this is signal reporting, not consulting advice.
